David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa has announced a series of new scheduled river experiences on the Zambezi River, expanding its activity offering for leisure, incentive and MICE travellers visiting Livingstone.
Launching in 2026, the new breakfast and dinner cruises form part of a broader expansion of the lodge’s activity calendar, creating more opportunities for guests to engage with the destination beyond traditional daytime excursions. Positioned as thoughtfully curated experiences rather than simple river cruises, the new offerings respond to growing demand from the travel trade for flexible, high-quality products that suit groups, hosted delegations and incentive travel.
The newly introduced Breakfast Cruises operate on weekends and are also available on request during the week for groups and private bookings. Taking place from 08:00 to 10:00, the two-hour cruise offers guests a peaceful start to the day on the Zambezi at a time when the river is calm and wildlife sightings are frequent.
With early morning light, cooler temperatures and an abundance of birdlife and animals along the riverbanks, the experience is particularly well suited to incentive groups, hosted buyers, small corporate retreats and families seeking a relaxed yet memorable activity.
Priced at US$85 per person, the breakfast cruise includes return transfers from Livingstone lodges and hotels, breakfast service, and beverages including mimosas, tea, coffee and juice. National Park and Wildlife fees of US$10 per person are excluded. Capacity ranges from a minimum of two guests to a maximum of sixty, with private cruises available for groups of twenty or more.
Building on strong demand from incentive and group travel planners, Scheduled Dinner Cruises will commence in early April 2026, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. These three-hour cruises are designed as a premium evening experience, combining sunset river cruising with a five-course plated dinner and wine pairing, accompanied by soft acoustic music.
Timings adjust seasonally, operating from 17:00 to 20:00 in summer and 16:30 to 19:30 in winter, allowing guests to experience the transition from golden-hour light into evening on the river.
Dinner cruises are priced at US$120 per person, inclusive of transfers, dining and beverages, with National Park and Wildlife fees excluded. As with the breakfast offering, capacity ranges from two to sixty guests, with private charters available for groups of twenty or more.
The launch of these new river experiences follows an extensive programme of upgrades across David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa during 2025, including refreshed guest rooms, upgraded bar and restaurant areas and menus, as well as enhancements to the lodge’s signature spa and gym. Together, these updates position the property strongly for both leisure and MICE markets heading into 2026.
