Expanded WTM Africa programme highlights for 2026

WTM Africa 2026 will introduce a number of new features alongside the return of popular content tracks. Among the headline additions is the first-ever China Ready® Workshop, delivered in partnership with the China Business Intelligence Service Network (CBISN). Taking place on 15 April, the expert-led session is designed to help African tourism businesses better understand and engage the Chinese outbound market and includes CPD accreditation.

The Africa Tourism Investment Conference (ATIC) also returns on 14 April, presented in partnership with JLL Africa. This full-day forum focuses on unlocking sustainable tourism investment across the continent and brings together developers, financiers, policymakers and destination leaders.

Wine tourism and experiential networking will once again take centre stage with the return of the Stellenbosch Experience, while a strengthened Women in Tourism and Women in MICE collaboration will see the launch of the Women in MICE Awards and targeted leadership development sessions.

Industry insight, innovation and connection

Delegates can expect a comprehensive programme of talks and workshops covering key themes shaping African tourism, including artificial intelligence, authenticity in travel, traveller psychology, wine tourism and LGBTQ+ travel. Immersive learning spaces across the expo floor will support practical knowledge-sharing, while the dedicated media programme and Africa Travel Week Media Awards continue to champion storytelling excellence within the industry.

Supported by official airline and hospitality partners, WTM Africa 2026 aims to deliver a seamless and high-value experience for exhibitors, buyers and trade visitors alike.
