A New Lookout Over the Zambezi

A brand-new multi-level elevated deck has opened along the Zambezi River in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, offering guests a memorable combination of wild views, authentic African dining, and immersive nature experiences. The deck, which accommodates up to 60 guests, is located next to the Palm River Hotel and overlooks one of Africa’s most iconic waterways

Crafted entirely from temporary materials, the eco-friendly platform is designed to be fully relocatable, ensuring minimal environmental impact while preserving the untouched riverside ecosystem. Its position along an active wildlife corridor offers guests a unique and intimate connection with the surrounding flora and fauna, making every meal a front-row seat to nature.

Two Ways to Dine Wild

The new deck offers two distinct signature experiences:

The Riverside Dining Experience features traditional Zimbabwean cuisine, with local delicacies like crocodile and kudu steaks grilled over open coal fires. Guests enjoy a full 3-course meal with fresh salads and sides, paired with premium beverages and live traditional music under the stars. The experience includes welcome drinks and return transfers from Ilala Lodge Hotel.
The Riverside High Tea brings an elegant afternoon affair to life under the shade of Jackalberry trees. Guests sip sparkling welcome drinks while enjoying a curated selection of teas, pastries, and views of the tranquil Zambezi River.

Both experiences celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and natural beauty, offering moments of reflection and connection with the land.
