Sango Safari Camp
Sango Safari Camp is an intimate retreat named after the Sango family, some of the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, with whom Bush Ways developed the camp. Through this connection, guests are offered a rare opportunity to learn first-hand about the unique lifestyle and traditions of one of the most wildlife-rich regions of Botswana.
The Khwai River, which flows gently past the camp, forms a natural border between the world-famous Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Concession. This unfenced wilderness allows animals to roam freely between the two areas, creating extraordinary opportunities for wildlife encounters. From the camp’s elevated viewing deck, sightings are both unique and unforgettable, offering a chance to witness nature unfolding in its purest form.
Designed to capture the spirit of the traditional tented safari, Sango Safari Camp accommodates just twelve guests in six en-suite Meru tents. Each tent combines comfort with authenticity, featuring open-air showers, handcrafted furnishings, and classic safari styling. The camp’s atmosphere recalls the romance of a luxury mobile safari while offering the ease and warmth of a permanent base.
Blending rustic simplicity with quiet elegance, Sango Safari Camp invites guests to step into a world where culture, community, and wilderness meet.
