Madagascar Unique Discovery Tours

Madagascar Unique Discovery Tours (MUDT) is an inbound Destination Management Company and tour operator based in Antananarivo. It designs and operates personalised journeys across Madagascar for international travel agencies, tour operators and private travellers. Its programmes serve independent travellers, couples, families and groups, with itineraries adapted to their interests, preferred pace and budget.

MUDT’s destination coverage brings together Madagascar’s contrasting regions. The RN7 route connects the central highlands with Ranomafana, Isalo and the south-west coast, while eastern journeys explore Andasibe and can extend towards Sainte-Marie. In the north, programmes combine Diego-Suarez, Montagne d’Ambre, Ankarana and the Tsingy Rouges with coastal experiences around the Three Bays and the Emerald Sea. Nosy Be and its surrounding islands offer further opportunities for marine excursions and beach stays. Western itineraries can include Morondava, the Avenue of the Baobabs and the Tsingy de Bemaraha.

Beyond classic discovery tours, MUDT develops adventure and cycling itineraries, educational visits and study trips. Wildlife observation, walks through varied landscapes, village encounters and time with local guides can be combined to create programmes with a clear focus or a broader introduction to the island. Family holidays and private journeys can balance active exploration with time to relax.

For travel trade partners, MUDT provides itinerary design and coordination of local arrangements, including accommodation, airport transfers, ground transport, guiding and excursions. Domestic flight and charter arrangements can be incorporated where appropriate, subject to availability. The team helps partners assess route choices and practical travel requirements when building a programme.

MUDT’s approach places local knowledge and personal attention at the centre of each journey. Through collaboration with guides, accommodation providers and other local partners, it seeks to connect travellers with Madagascar’s biodiversity, cultural heritage and everyday life. The company is a member of TOP Madagascar (Professional Tour operators association), Analamanga regional tourism board (ORTANA) and the Nosy Be Regional Tourism board (ORTNB), supporting its engagement with the destination’s tourism community.
