Kasabushi Camp

Kasabushi Camp is a remote and intimate owner-operated river camp situated in the central part of the Kafue National Park, on the West bank of the Kafue River overlooking the lush green palm-covered islands and granite boulders. The Camp is easily accessible by road and by air.

Kasabushi Camp It is a four-hour drive from Lusaka on a good tar road. When entering the park at Chunga gate it is another hour on gravel road to reach the camp. Chunga airstrip is a 45-minute drive from the camp. The Camp offers a unique blend of comfort and adventure, allowing you to immerse in the beauty and serenity of nature while enjoying the modern conveniences of its well-appointed accommodation and facilities. The well-trained team is dedicated to delight each individual guest with their undivided attention, a good sense of humor and an eye for detail. MAIN CAMP
The Bush camp consist of two tented chalets, “Kasa” 1 and “Kasa 2” spaced far enough apart to ensure peace and privacy. With a private verandah overlooking the Kafue River, and open-air rain shower. The Round House is the dining area where guests can enjoy the Zambian inspired Western fusion cuisine. All meals are prepared fresh and with quality ingredients sourced, mostly, locally. A well selected lunch and dinner menu with a variety of meat, fresh fish and tasty vegetarian dishes is served daily by the Chef.
CAMPSITE
The Campsite is located separate from the Bush Camp and has five spacious and shady river-view sites hosting up to three vehicles or tents per site, giving each camper its privacy. A personal fireplace and braai stand are included. Firewood is available. The campsite facilities are designed with an eye for detail. The communal ablutions exist of two spacious and well-appointed waterfall showers, two flushing toilets with separate washbasins and a separate dishwashing. All facilities have hot and cold running water.
‘INTO THE WILD’ CAMP
Seasonal Wild Campsite (June – November) For true adventurers and wildlife lovers. Facilities are basic with a long drop toilet and a bucket shower. This site does not have running water but a private little beach to carefully enjoy the natural pools in between the granite boulders. A stay at Kasabushi Camp contributes to the preservation of Africa’s wilderness. The camp is committed to sustainable practices and supporting local conservation efforts, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the magic of the African wildlife.
GLAMPING
Kasabushi Campsite offers an all-inclusive rental service to accommodate the “travel light” camping guests. The glamping accommodations are spacious canvas tents equipped with amenities you’d expect of glamorous camping. Comfortable camping beds topped with a matrass, bedside table, outdoor lanterns, warm blankets, comfortable camping chairs to enjoy the view from the front-row, dining table, crockery, gas stove, a cozy fire pit supplied with firewood and a braai grid. Create the perfect space for relaxation and stargazing.
