Welcome to Africa's Eden Travel Show Africa Edition 2027

08 – 11 February 2027

Maun, Botswana

Maun is the gateway to the Okavango Delta — Botswana’s safari capital and the point from which the Delta, Moremi, the Kalahari and the Makgadikgadi Pans all open up. It is a working tourism town with air links across the region and camps, guides and operators on its doorstep. In February 2027 it hosts the Africa Edition, the first time a travel trade show of this scale has been held in-destination in Maun.

About

The Africa’s Eden Travel Show – Africa Edition is the region’s dedicated intra-Africa trade platform. It brings Africa’s Eden member products together with travel buyers domiciled anywhere on the African continent for pre-matched appointments, practical learning and deliberate relationship building.

The Africa Edition exists because the African travel trade deserves a show of its own. African-domiciled buyers reach consumers across Africa, and they are also an important conduit for inbound travel from our global source markets – much of the business that arrives in this region from overseas is contracted, packaged and serviced by trade based on the continent. They are key suppliers to Southern African tourism, and this show puts them first, in a room built exclusively around them.

The scale is intentional. This is not a hall of thousands; it is a curated group of buyers and Africa’s Eden member exhibitors, small enough that people meet properly, and long enough together that conversations continue after the last appointment. Business in this region is done between people who know one another, and the Africa Edition is designed around that reality.

The Format

Presentations - first morning, everyone in the room

The show opens with a morning of presentations for buyers and exhibitors, on subjects that matter to everyone trading in this region – [access, routing and logistics; contracting and rates; selling into African source markets; marketing and distribution; payments and cross-border trade] – alongside destination presentations for buyers. Participants select the sessions most useful to them. Both sides of the table leave with something they can use on the Monday after the show.

Pre-matched one-on-one appointments

Buyers and exhibitors are matched ahead of the show through a diary system, so every appointment is with someone who has a reason to meet you. Appointment books are filled ahead of the show, and where spaces remain we will do our best, as organisers, to fill them.

Networking and relationship building

The evenings – and the breaks, meals and shared experiences around the meetings – are as much a part of the programme as the diary. Time is built in deliberately, in a setting that lets people talk properly, because the partnerships that come out of this show are made in those hours, not in twenty-minute slots.

Pre-show fam tours

Pre-fam tours run in the four days immediately before the show and take place right across the Africa’s Eden region – not only in Botswana. Each itinerary begins in its own starting destination and all conclude in Maun, in time for registration.

All fam tours on this programme are pre-fams: they run before the show, and there is no post-show fam programme. Instead, we are working with Africa’s Eden members across the region to offer optional add-on nights and activities after the show – bookable directly with the supplier and at the buyer’s own expense.

Fam tour selection is open to registered buyers of the show only, and places can be reserved once registration and payment have been completed.
