Mankwe Camping

If you are a self-driving camper, you will enjoy the exclusive location of the Mankwe campsites which overlook the bush and mopane forest, and are located on the same concession as Mankwe Tented Retreat – our safari hub at the gateway to the Moremi Game Reserve.  Moremi South gate and North gate entrances are each an hour’s drive from the campsites, offering easy access for our camping guests.

Campsites are equipped with bucket showers, flush toilets and washbasins in a pristine camping area.  Firewood is provided on the first night and is thereafter available for purchase at the Mankwe Tented Retreat.  Camping guests may enjoy the swimming pool, lounge, bar and dining area of the Main Lodge.

Each of the campsites is totally secluded, to allow guests a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Campsites are not fenced and wildlife, including big game like lion, elephant and buffalo, roam freely in the area.

The property is not located in Moremi Game Reserve or Chobe, but is located on a private concession that borders both the parks which makes day trips a possibility.

Campsite Camelthorn 1

Our campsites do not have any electricity. Each campsite has a tank to supply water to the site (Not suitable for drinking), a Shower cubicle with pull-up bucket shower (fire buckets are provided to heat up water), toilet and basin.
