A unique tapestry of encounters, experiences and emotions.
Based in the Tuli Game Reserve in Botswana, we offer three exclusive destinations: Koro River and Koro Island Camp in Botswana, and Machungulo Beach Villa in Mozambique. Our other services include safari packages for ease and convenience of travel, and our privately guided safaris led by Alan McSmith.
We strive to be different and each wilderness or wildlife encounter is personally crafted. Tuli is a rugged wild land and the game viewing and landscape is exceptional. The reserve produces some of the best elephant viewing in Africa and is not referred to as “Land of the giants” for nothing! We focus away from conventional commercial game viewing with a vision of a complete African safari, an immersive experience, be it bush or beach.
We have established an accredited PhD level field study, focussing on the ecology of leopard and hyena of the Tuli. The study, fronted by Sander Vissia, focusses on the inter-relationships between these large predators, especially the iconic endangered brown hyena. Guests are encouraged to participate in research excursions to monitor camera-traps, den sites or animal identification. The thread of our research continues with a monitoring project of the leatherback turtles at Machangulo, here guests can also participate in this sensitive and unique project.
